Webinar Reflection

12 Keys To High Quality Early Childhood Inclusion    

  I attended this webinar on Wednesday,February 28 . it was my first experience with webinars, actually the experience was really interesting but the connection was not that good, i did my best to recover everything.
 The ideas in the webinar was really new and attractive to a teacher that has many kinds of students in her schools, and most of them was really excluded from the classroom at the time they should be totally included to get every single information in the class that would benefit them, there are many keys to attract the student in the classroom, one of it is to build the new information on the students' prior knowledge, so this makes the students feel safe and the information easily move to their long term memory. 
 Inclusion in Kathryn's Warl dictionary is when children in the same class feel themselves related to the same group. being in the same group helps students with special needs to be engaged in the classroom because they would feel themselves one of the group in this classroom. They need to feel belonging somewhere, they will be able then to relax and regulate,they feel themselves part of the community. 
 Daily routines, in the classroom there should be pictures for every concept or thing that the teacher is going to talk about. They should make sure that they have access to curriculum and materials.
 The student with disabilities should be with other students because with time he can be part of the classroom and included with his friends which makes teaching process easier. 
 " Students with special needs; educated in regular classes do better academically and socially than comparable students in non-inclusive settings" Baker, Wang and Wahlberg 1994 p: 34)

 The student with disability imitate other students and learn how to be more independent and self reliant. he learns to cope and to solve problems, to appropriate social skills, build a positive self-concept and make new friends. 
 The child learn to accept and become comfortable with individual differences, increase their self-esteem through helping others, recognize strength and abilities in children who are different, explore new ways of being a friend, and decrease fears and prejudges. 
     This is what she briefly said, it was really beneficial and I will take those information into consideration

  2. this is a very important issue that every teacher should take into consideration! I totally agree with them that we can't separate students with special needs from regular classes! This would destroy their future! Thank you Dania for sharing this webinar:)

  3. This webinar incudes an effective strategy which schools must take into consideration and prepare to apply it. Inclusion in the academic setting is very helpful to special needs students and it strongly improve their academic and social skills. However, this inclusion must not take place while assessing them because it's not fair to assess students with different abilities and needs in the same way.

  4. As a teacher it is normally to find different students with different mentalities in the same class with lower and higher levels so this webinar will help you as a teacher to solve this problem whose all the teachers suffer from it...good luck

  5. sounds interesting, in almost all the classes there is a student if not more of special case. Regardless that they need a special care, I guess they should be kept inside the classroom and not to get separated or isolated from others. I guess this would somehow destroy their social life and make them only restricted to deal people of their "kind". Thank you for this beneficial pot.

  6. Great choice Dania!! This is an issue of controversy and teachers should try their best to deal with it in the most appropriate way. Students with special needs have the right to learn in a normal environment not in isolation.
